The Anderson Cabot Center for Ocean Life at the New England Aquarium applies cutting-edge marine research, data-driven conservation solutions, and public engagement to ensure a future for the oceans in which resources are used sustainably, critical species and habitats are protected, and ecosystems are managed wisely.

We believe science-based solutions to human-made threats to the oceans will lead to better resource management and ultimately more effective conservation. We will investigate and identify solutions to problems threatening our oceans, engage stakeholders in problem-solving techniques, implement science-based solutions, measure our impact, and then extrapolate our proven techniques globally.
