About
Michelle Cho focuses on gaining knowledge about the health and environmental impacts of commercial global fisheries. She joined the New England Aquarium in 2006 after working as a fisheries observer based in New Bedford, MA, and on trawl surveys for the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island. She is a member of both the Anderson Cabot Center’s Fisheries and Aquaculture Solutions and Bycatch programs.
By connecting scientific research to fishing communities in search of solutions, Michelle aims to facilitate improved fishing techniques and behaviors for balanced, healthy ecosystems and food security worldwide.
